As an arts driven community the CDCA seeks to continue this focus by providing art installations throughout the Channel District. Check back for updates and additional projects!

Waves of Change

Our first of these installations is Waves of Change by Meaghan Farrell Scalise and Rebekah Lazaridis.  The mural is located in the Courtyard at Grand Central.

The design was inspired by the surrounding sea water, a symbol and homage to our historically artistic and now bustling neighborhood. The mural features an urban watercolor backdrop for the graphic waves under a moonlit sky, illuminating a compass from within.

The CDCA in conjunction with the Masters Owners Association at Grand Central have sponsored this art installation as a gift to the community. Installed April 2016.

This playful mural is meant to engage passersby while expressing the unique culture & lifestyle of the Channel District. A surreal mashup of the nostalgic flamingo moniker, iconic art deco style of south Florida, and whimsical palette of colors and shapes – this theme celebrates the love of everything Floridian.
